If you are a ground enthusiast, like me, in Star Trek Online, there are many things that you can do to ensure superior survival on the ground. The only saving grace is the fact that it’s a MW ship, so the extra console and power prevent it from being completely dead-on-arrival, though you’d still be going “OMG why do I suck so much in a space fight?”.įrankly, if this was a C-Store ship I /may consider/ picking it up for space barbie, but even then it would be nobody’s first choice this thing is almost at the Advanced Heavy Cruiser level of Suckage! This ship is clearly whale-bait for bragging rights everyone else would be wise to stay well out of its way.Ranking the Top 5 Star Trek Online Best Armors and How to Get Them Now you may not need a bunch of Specialization skills, but at least the options partly justify the high prices of the lockbox/promo ships….

To make matters worse, this is one of the few lockbox/promo ships to have a single specialization BOff seat. There is also an alarming shortage of Tactical BOff skills available, limited to a single Lieutenant Tactical and at best a second Lt Tac using the Uni seat, locking out any access to higher level tactical skills. But for game performance, the Parliament 4/4 weapons layout and 2 Tac consoles (plus 1 Universal) make it a below-average platform at best. This is an Engineer-heavy ship, which is at least true to its purpose/description in the show. Parliament Class Mircale-Worker Surveyor Cruiser But in this case, it begs the question whether this is WORTH a lockbox gamble. I mean, I think we are tired of raging against some of their decisions, and pointless to try to use previous examples to argue why a non-hero-ship-and-Starfleet-workhorse should not be in a gamble box… we all know it’s simply about maximizing the cashflow.

The Cali looks like a Fisher-Price play-table for kids!īut Cryptic being the monetization goblin that it is, they decided to put this in a Lockbox.

Probably not a bad choice, since the Parliament looks way prettier than the Cali. The Parliament class USS Vancouver is the equivalent of the USS Excelsior of Star Trek III, the ‘newer and better’ jock to the nerd hero ship… which in Lower Decks is the California class USS Cerritos. As the first Lower Decks ship to be released in STO, they went for the Parliament class, which Google tells me is not even the hero ship of the show.
